Poster Art Contest FAQs:
Will all of the art that I submit from my students be hung up at the festival?
Our intention is to display everything at the festival.
Is there a specific size of paper that the students should be using?
We do not have size restrictions or requirements.
Does the poster need to have words or is only pictures okay?
No words required. Pictures only is fine.
Is there a specific medium you're looking for or are markers, colored pencils, paint, etc. ok?
Any medium works. Get creative!
Will there be a total of 3 winners from the whole festival? Or is there 3 winners per Grade or Age level?
Our intention is to have three winners overall. This is our first ever art contest! We aren’t sure how many artists will participate. If we have a very large volume, we’ve considered identifying a winner from each age group or one elementary winner, one middle school winner, one RHS winner in addition to the overall 1st, 2nd, 3rd prize winners.
How will the artwork be collected on Friday April 5th?
Physical posters can be dropped off at Ridgewood Library located at 125 N. Maple Avenue. Digital submissions may be emailed to greenridgewoodnj@gmail.com. If a single point of contact at your school is collecting submissions (e.g., the art teacher, the sponsor for the Green Team), they may coordinate with Green Ridgewood for collection via greenridgewoodnj@gmail.com. Please indicate who this point of contact is, along with phone & email, and Green Ridgewood will contact directly.
Please include STUDENT ARTIST NAME, AGE, GRADE, SCHOOL, PARENT NAME, PARENT PHONE, PARENT EMAIL with all submissions.
